Elementary After School Program
About The Program:
NLPS Elementary After-School Programs support students and families by providing age-appropriate activities that enrich the school day curriculum and foster students’ emotional, social, and academic growth in a safe and nurturing environment. We are so excited to provide our students and families with a high quality, hands on and engaging after-school experience.

Operation Days & Times:
Our after-school programs run Monday through Fridays (including Wednesday s) for 2 hours each day on full school days.

Fees, Program Enrollment, and Attendance:
There are no fees associated with NLPS After-School Programs. This program is 100% free to students and their families. Spaces are limited and registration is a first come first serve basis and families must reregister every school year.
If the program is full, you will be placed on a wait list and contacted when a space becomes available.
Daily attendance is mandatory.

PROGRAM DAILY SCHEDULE:
1. Upon arrival students enjoy a light supper and social time with their friends.
2. Students and their teachers then transition to a quiet space by grade for academic support to reinforce school day learning, strengthen fundamentals and provide students additional time to complete the learning process.
3. Throughout the school year students rotate through blocks of various club style activities presented by our teachers and/or community partners. Clubs and enrichment activities may include Science and Nature, Technology, Gaming and Coding, Arts, Music and Dance, Engineering, Health, Nutrition and Recreation, Environmental, Multi-Cultural, and Community Service projects.
Before School Care
Before care is available through New London Parks & Recreation in partnership with New London Public Schools. Registration will be monthly through the NL Parks & Rec website.
If you are unable to pay the full amount monthly, please reach out to their office at 860-447-5230.
OPERATION DAYS & TIMES:
Program runs Monday through Friday starting at 7:00am. Before care begins on the first day of school August 29, 2024
COST: $30 Resident/$35 Non-Resident (per month. Monthly registration required)
AGE REQUIREMENTS: Grades K-5

About The Program:
BDJ Multi-Magnet After-School Programs are designed and open to all students in grades 6th-8th. Our goal is to provide opportunities for students to explore, discover, and apply new ideas, skills, and passions There are many activity choices available to help students improve their academic performance, learn more about themselves, and develop passions and interests while cultivating friendships and a well-rounded portfolio to support a lifetime of success. Our staff is dedicated to helping students reach their academic, social, and emotional goals.
Operation Days & Times:
BDJ Multi-Magnet After-School Program operating hours are from 2:45p-4:45p Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. No Wednesday programs available.
Students will have the opportunity to rotate through a variety of clubs every 6 weeks.
