Volunteer

2026-2027 school year Volunteer Application will open August 15

 

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with New London Public Schools (NLPS).

All volunteers must complete the district's application and approval process before participating in school activities.

Annual clearance is required. Returning volunteers must log in, update their information as needed, and reapply for the current school year.

 

Step 1: Submit an Application

All prospective volunteers must complete an online application each school year through our AppliTrack system. The application can be accessed at the following link:🔗 Volunteer Application Portal (Job ID: 3631 – Volunteer)

Step 2: Confirmation
Once the online application has been submitted, volunteers will receive an email confirmation once the Volunteer coordinator acknowledges receipt and and is ready to review the application and begin processing application.

Step 3: Background Check Requirements

Next, you will receive a Connecticut DCF-3031 Authorization Form and a Volunteer Policy & Safety Acknowledgement Form.

Please complete all required fields, including your address history for the past five (5) years. Upon receipt, the district will process the forms and conduct a Sex Offender Registry check.

Step 4: Approval

Once all required screenings have been completed, you will receive an email notification when your volunteer application has been approved.

Please allow 7–10 business days for processing. Applications may be approved sooner if all required forms are completed promptly.
