Dear Winthrop Families,

As the Principal of Winthrop STEM Elementary Magnet School, it is my pleasure to welcome new and returning families to the 2022-2023 school year. I hope you are all having a wonderful summer and have enjoyed time with family and friends. The first day of school is quickly approaching and we eagerly look forward to another exciting year. The Winthrop STEM Elementary Magnet School community always places students at the forefront of our efforts, working as a team to provide the highest quality instruction. We will work in close partnership with you throughout the year to ensure the very best for your children. The district vision of being United in Excellence will focus our efforts on providing high quality instruction and educational experiences for all students.

The success of our students is extremely important to us. We must work as a team to build relationships that foster a growth mindset to maximize the potential of every child. Together we will rise above challenges with perseverance and by instilling confidence in each students’ ability to succeed. Research proves that parental involvement in their child’s education is essential for success. Our teamwork will have a lasting effect on every student in school and beyond.

As we begin the school year, please know my door is always open. Your questions, concerns and input are important, and I want to hear from you. I also invite all parents to participate in opportunities to support the Winthrop STEM Elementary Magnet School community throughout the year.
